The heart of London's West End
Covent Garden May Fayre
Political Correctness out of the window - Punch rules OK!
The 'violent', but humorous adventures of Mr Punch and other famous characters are set to come alive again at the annual May Fayre in St Paul's Church and gardens, Covent Garden.
The 2000 May Fayre will take place on Sunday 14th May between 10:00 - 17:30 hrs in the gardens of St Paul's church, Bedford Street, Covent Garden. There will be lots of jumble and information stalls, artists, entertainers and refreshments. You will also be able to witness the largest collection of Punch & Judy performers, all performing live in the gardens or near the Church.
There will be a colourful procession around Covent Garden at 10:30 and a service in honour of Mr Punch in St Paul's Church at 11:30. The jumble sale will start early - be there at 10:0 for some real bargains.
As usual, the CGCA will be running a jumble stall with books, bric-a-brac and clothes, as well as a big plants & flowers sale.
If you wish to donate any unwanted items or jumble, please deliver it to our office by close of business on Friday 12th May. We welcome anything that is in a good condition and that can be sold to raise much-needed funds for the CGCA.
