Covent Garden London
The heart of London's West End
Dudley Court Tenants' Association
Dudley Court is still surviving and has passed another year similar to the last few. We have been able to keep up our little park at the centre of the estate with the hard work of Terry Jarwood, the ladies of the Committee and Camden Council.
We have sadly lost two of our district officers, namely Dilip Jesudasen and Peter Watts, who have done a lot for Dudley Court over the years and we are very grateful to them for their help and support to our Tenants Committee. Dilip has retired early and Peter has moved to another department. We welcome Ken Robson and Dilip Shah, who are replacing them. We have also lost Elaine Taylor, who has moved. Thank-you to her for many years of work for Dudley Court.
As usual, the ladies of the Committee have worked very hard organising Easter eggs, a Christmas party and gifts for the Senior Citizens and for the Bingo every Thursday evening in the Tenants' Hall. Many thanks also to Michael Wilkinson, who keeps our accounts up-to-date and precise throughout the year.
We are doing all we can to persuade the new owners of the former St Paul's Hospital in Endell Street to move their proposed recording studios, restaurants, etc to the old Holborn Town Hall in order to prevent noise and congestion to all local neighbours.
We also thank the Covent Garden Community Association for all their help and support over the year.
