About the CGCA
The Covent Garden Community Association is a registered charity, established to stimulate public interest in the Covent Garden area, to promote high standards of planning and architecture in the area, to secure the preservation, protection, development and improvement of buildings or features of historic or public interest in the area, and to improve the quality of life for residents in the area generally.
Membership of the CGCA
People who live or work in the Covent Garden area are invited to join the CGCA by becoming a Full Member; membership costs £5 per annum and is free to pensioners, students and those disabled or unemployed.
Double membership (£10) applies to two people living at the same address.
The CGCA also welcomes people who live outside the Covent Garden area as members; on receipt of the £5 membership fee, Associate membership will be granted. Only Full membership qualifies for voting rights at our Annual General Meeting. We always welcome membership applications from our elderly residents, whose membership is free of charge. Please show your support for our work by joining as a member.
The CGCA needs a loyal group of supporters and actively encourages anyone with an interest in the Covent Garden area to affiliate themselves with our community work. The CGCA relies for much of its income on personal donations, help in kind and subscription fees. Since April 2000, the CGCA is able to claim back the tax on any 'Gift Aid' donation made to us by a tax paying donor. Please ask us to send you a membership/donation form if you are interested.
