Covent Garden London
The heart of London's West End
Did you go to Wild Street School?

The City Lit, London's largest adult education provider, and with two of its teaching centres in Covent Garden at Stukeley Street and Keeley Street, hopes to commence construction this autumn of a £21m new purpose-designed college on its Keeley Street site.
This means the existing nineteenth and twentieth century buildings on the site will be demolished to make way for the new development. One of the buildings started life in 1885 as the Wild Street Board School, before the City Lit took it over in 1970 for adult education. The City Lit wants to hold an evening of thanksgiving and reflection on Friday July 20, to say farewell to the current buildings, including the old Board School, before demolition, and would like to involve any local residents who may have attended the Wild Court Board School. The evening will be a celebration of learning on the site over the last century, through music, drama, and writing.
Any local residents who attended the Board School and who would like to join the City Lit for this special evening are invited to contact Clare Greenway at the City Lit.
