Diamond Celebrations

The Rev Gordon Taylor, the Rector of St Giles-in-the-Fields, recently celebrated his 60 years in the Ministry.

As if that was not enough, the Rector is soon to remember his Golden Jubilee as Rector of St Giles! Rev Taylor became Rector of St Giles on 23rd January 1949 and has served the parish during these last fifty years.

A reception will be held on Sunday 24th January 1999 at 12:30pm in the Vestry Room at the church in St Giles High Street to mark both these anniversaries. Anyone connected with St Giles over the years is cordially invited to join in, but please telephone the church wardens on 0171-240 2532 in advance, to give them some idea of the number of people likely to attend.
