Free weekend at Somerset House
The magnificently restored Somerset House will be open to the public free-of-charge on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th July 2000.
There will be activities for all ages and interests on top of viewing the Gilbert Collection, the Courtauld Institute Gallery and the court yard. Outdoor entertainment, live music, guided tours, workshops, and much more.
The recently restored 18th century Somerset House with its large court yard is worth visiting. The Courtauld Gallery is a must and the Gilbert Collection of decorative art comes highly recommended too.
Once inside the building, look out for the River Terrace and admire the fantastic Thameside view.
