FREE GUIDED CYCLE TOURS of LONDON
11am on Sunday 16th February 2003, Albert Memorial
Blue Badge Guides will be leading free cycling tours of London for all, this Sunday 16th February, to launch International Tourist Guiding Day. Get on your bike and come to the Albert Memorial in Kensington Gardens, opposite the Royal Albert Hall on Kensington Gore. Be there by 11am on Sunday 16th February.
Free cycle tours will be led by Blue Badge Guides from the Guild of Registered Tourist Guides and the Association of Professional Tourist Guides. Tours will be of the following areas:
- The Thames Downstream
- Kensington & Knightsbridge
- Marble Arch & Mayfair
- Notting Hill & Bayswater
- Westminster
Cycle tours start at the Albert Memorial, last about ninety minutes and will end near a historic pub, museum or gallery. Families and children are most welcome. We hope to be able to distribute free helium balloons to all children (and adults if they want!) who attend, whether on foot or on a cycle.
See London on a bike, from a different point of view and find out ...
- Where is the "blue door"?
- Where did Harry Potter buy his wand?
- From where was James Bond 'launched'?
- Where did Bridget Jones live?
