Community Plan to address Drugs, Street Crime and Anti-Social Behaviour
At a vibrant Covent Garden public meeting on 6th November 2002, over 450 people, including MPs, police commanders, local agencies, residents and businesses, agreed that levels of street crime, drug-taking and anti-social behaviour had reached proportions requiring immediate action.
The CGCA is producing a Community Plan to bring about social improvement that is quantifiable and sustainable, and invites comment on its Consultation Draft. An approved plan will be adopted early in the new year, and a second public meeting will be held within six months to assess progress and see what further improvements can be made to the quality of life in Covent Garden.
Copies of the Community Plan Consultation Draft for downloading can be obtained by visiting www.coventgarden.org.uk/docs/ and holding right or option when clicking community_plan_draft_2002-12-01.doc (MicroSoft Word), and is also availble for online reading in HTML
