Celebrate Adult Learners Week with some 'taster classes' in Covent Garden.
Between 12th - 18th May 2001 the annual 'Try it Out' campaign at The City Lit college is launched. It wants to bring hundreds of Londoners across the threshold to have a go at something different. Following high demand in previous years, The City Lit has extended the programme to offer 25 free sessions to adults - with subjects ranging from jazz to drawing and yoga to philosophy. Click here for a list of the taster sessions available in Covent Garden.
At the City Lit the emphasis is on learning for pleasure. It makes learning accessible to all adults by providing support and guidance for any student who needs it.
Adult Learners' Week is a national event which brings together people and organisations to promote all forms of adult learning. It celebrates the outstanding achievements of those involved in adult education and seeks to encourage more people into study.
The 'Try it Out' campaign at The City Lit runs from Saturday 14th May to Saturday 19th May. For some events students need to enrol. Please call 020 7831 7831.
