The Covent Garden Community Association (CGCA) is delighted to announce a magnificent concert of light classical music and popular arias in St Paul's Church, Covent Garden. We are emailing you in the hope that you will be able to come along and join other local residents and workers to enjoy this wonderful evening. This is the first time we have organised such an exciting event and we need a good turn-out.
The CITY OF WESTMINSTER TRIO and JOSE MARIA GUERRERO have generously donated their time and outstanding artistic ability for a concert to help raise much-needed funds for a worthy cause. They will be performing music by Schubert (Trio in B flat major), Haydn (Trio in G major - 'Gypsy Rondo') and popular arias by Puccini, Handel, Donezetti, Verdi & Meyerbeer.
The Concert will take place on SATURDAY 25TH SEPTEMBER 1999, 7.30-9.45 pm in the historic ST PAUL'S CHURCH, Bedford Street, Covent Garden, London WC2. Doors open at 6.45 pm - entrance via Bedford Street gate. There will be a wine bar in the interval.
TICKETS are on sale NOW - first come, first served. Seats are limited - please book your tickets as soon as possible.
PRICES: FIVE pounds each - concessions THREE pounds (Senior Citizens, students, unemployed).
Proceeds in aid of the Covent Garden Community Association and St Paul's Church.
Please note that prices for this concert have been kept at an absolute minimum to enable everyone to buy tickets and enjoy this unique opportunity. However, if you are unable to attend, please will you make a DONATION to help us? We urge you to contribute whatever you can spare. The CGCA's finances are not looking very healthy (whose are!) and we urgently need contributions to continue our extensive work in Covent Garden. Please try and come along and we promise you an enjoyable, stress-free experience.
