If you would like to find out what is going on in Covent Garden, please check out our website for full details – the following local events are coming up: the MayDay exhibition at the Photographers’ Gallery (16th April – 29th May) – entrance is free – this is about communities and communications, including modern forms of communication and an innovative arts and technology project by schoolchildren. CGCA Photographers’ Gallery Evening - special late night opening for CGCA members, businesses and residents local to the Gallery (19th May 18:00 – 20:00) – this is a free event, but booking is essential. CGCA Annual General Meeting (16th June 18:30 – 21:30) – this will be held at the offices of The Design Council, 34 Bow Street – entrance is free, all are welcome. If you are interested in traffic, parking, pollution and other inner-city bugbears, please check out the article on Clear Zones – a new, innovative concept from Camden Council that seeks to promote pedestrian movement, reduce pollution and stop through-traffic in the Seven Dials area. Will this be the answer to London’s "pollution capital" image? Do you need advice or help with matters related to the local Council or do you want to contact your MP, check out our new guide to your local ‘representatives’ (on our Advice pages). One of them has just this week been fired, but we have not yet updated our list. Can’t buy what you need in Tesco Metro in Covent Garden? Use the online form to tell us what’s missing and we will give the store manager a grilling! We have just published a list of where to go for your groceries, fruit, delicatessen, coffee, tea, wine or whisky in Covent Garden. Did you know that Sainsbury’s is due to open 2 new stores in and near Covent Garden in the next 12 months? The CGCA is always in need of voluntary help. If you have skills to offer or some time to spare, why not contact us? We are dependant on your help and support. If you are willing to help us develop our website, please let us know.
