Stu Takes Over As CGBG Membership Secretary
Say hello to the Covent Garden Business Group's new Membership Secretary, Stuart Gilles.
He has already been out and about in the area meeting members and hearing their opinions on how the neighbourhood is being run and how it can be improved. Here he writes about himself and his impressions so far.
"I come to the job after spending many years in journalism, working for a major regional evening newspaper.
"In that profession, I spent a lot of time dealing with town councils and government departments in Whitehall which I am sure will serve me in good stead for dealing with the day-to-day queries and problems which may arise for members of the CGBG.
"I hope to meet all of you in due course, but in the meantime, I will be available in my office in the CGBG'S building in Macklin Street two days a week to handle any enquiries, suggestions or comments you would like me to deal with. Please feel free to ring on 0171-209 2515 at any time. Should I be out, leave a message on the answer machine and I will get back to you as soon as possible. If it is a real emergency, try Jon Bos on the Covent Garden Community Association's number of 0171-836 3355."
