Covent Garden London
The heart of London's West End
Sital Sing Maan
Sital is a restaurateur and has a successful family business, The Punjab Restaurant in Neal Street. His grandfather started the first Punjabi restaurant in London in 1951. Sital is married with six grown-up children and lives in Covent Garden and North London.
He is active in both local communities and strongly believes in taking part in local affairs, rather than living in isolation. Having lived in the area for nearly 50 years, Sital is attached to Covent Garden and actively works to make it a better place for visitors and residents alike. He chairs the Covent Garden Business Group, sits on the Residents' & Environment Sub-committee and represents the CGCA at a number of Police working groups and meetings.
His interests include charity work, religion, walking and talking, particularly with his many long-standing customers.
