Donations
The Covent Garden Community Association is a registered charity (Reg nr 274468) and relies solely on grants and donations to survive. Please help us continue our valuable community work in Covent Garden by supporting us - either financially, in kind or by giving some of your time to work with us.
It is easy and attractive to increase your donation to the CGCA, without any extra cost to you, courtesy of the Inland Revenue. Simply complete a Deed of Covenant form and the CGCA will arrange for the tax credit for the amount you are donating to be recovered from the Inland Revenue. Covenants run for a minimum of four years, are for a fixed amount and use a Standing Order from your Bank. Please click here to download a covenant form in MS Word format, which you can print out and complete. Please note that it requires your signature and that of a witness, so the form cannot be returned over the Web.
If you are able to make a donation of £250 or more, please use a Gift Aid form, available from the CGCA or your local Tax Office. This does not require a Deed of Covenant and is an even simpler way of increasing your charitable donation by more than a fifth.
Another tax efficient way of giving to the CGCA (and other charities) is the Charities Aid Foundation's Charity Card. The CAF recovers the Tax over the money you pay into the account and adds it to your account. You then donate money to any registered charity in the UK by simply quoting your Charity Card number - similar to a credit card, but tax-efficient. Please click here if you wish to find out more about the Charity Card or open an account.
Charity Card holders: for your convenience, we have provided a link directly to a donation form to make a secure online donation to the CGCA by using your Charity Card - please click here to donate now!
Of course, the CGCA also gratefully accepts donations in cash or by cheque. Please make cheques payable to "CGCA". Please use our donations form, which you can print out here and send with your cash, cheque, postal order or Covenant form to our office.
If you wish to use your credit card to make a donation to the CGCA, please telephone:

The Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) will process your donation on our behalf. We regret that it is not currently possible to donate on-line - we hope to offer this facility soon. We acknowledge all donations in writing, unless you specifically ask us not to.
How does the CGCA pay its way?
We receive an annual grant from Camden Council, which helps to cover part of our overheads, and a small grant from Westminster City Council. A number of charitable trusts and grant-making bodies have helped to fund some of our projects - The Wates Foundation and the City Parochial Foundation have funded us in the past. We organise fund raising events locally. Many people generously give their professional services free or at reduced rates. Donations from individuals and local businesses make up an important part of our income. Without their financial contributions the CGCA could not survive.
If you wish to help, please be generous!
Our other source of income is the membership subscription: £5 per annum (but free to senior citizens, students and disabled or unemployed people). Please click here find out more about how You can become a member of the CGCA.
