To most visitors Covent Garden is a vibrant area for shopping, eating out, partying or the market in the main piazza.

To some others it's the Royal Opera House, the ballet, theatres or fine dining. To almost 6,500 local residents Covent Garden is where we live and work. This site hopes to provide information to all users of Covent Garden and to encourage our tourists and guests to consider those who they'll leave behind!

Many people think no-one lives in Covent Garden! To them it is the Opera House, the Market, night life and a tourist shopping centre; in fact it is a village in the heart of London, with 6,000 residents, including many second and third generation families and the figure is steadily rising.
